So, I bought a building today

Slideshow

Yes, it’s true. I found a new home for the studio and am very excited to share with you images of the new space.

It took some time and imagination but I think I have found just the right environment for my business to flourish.

Thanks to Eric Morton, Mary Ann Potter Lewis, Ron and Jane Hooker, and all my friends who have supported me through this process. Studio opening party will be forthcoming.

Andy Westfall Test

I did some calendars last year for charity.  Since then, I have been getting some testing requests.  One of them is Andy Westfall.    An amazing person with an equally amazing body.  He is looking to become a fitness model in a major american market.  We decided to do some photos he can use to show agents.

Thanks Andy, for a great shoot.  Wishing you all the best on your future projects.

Great video – Will be an ad very soon!

Frame of Mind from Steven Alan on Vimeo.

Camera trickery abound in this clever short film shot in Hawaii by Ben Boutwell and Steven Alan. Somebody will turn this into a TV commercial in a few weeks. (via petapixel)

Update: This technique was indeed used in a commercial.

Grizzlies Win! Buy the calendar!

Grizzlies CalendarSo, I did a calendar this past fall as a fundraiser for a LGBT softball team here in Columbus. They are the Trafik Grizzlies and they just so happened to have WON the Sin City Shootout C Division Champions this past weekend. I am wicked proud of their accomplishment.

Now, you can check out my work and learn more about the team. The calendar is for sale through any of the players here in Columbus AND ME  for $20. A portion of the proceeds will go to Project: Zero. A local charity that wants to assure that there are zero HIV/AIDS patients in the Greater Columbus Area that are not receiving the standard-of-care because they cannot afford it. This includes routine lab testing and medications. For more information you can go to www.projectzeroohio.com
